Meet Rene’
Rene’s passion is partnering with families to help their child learn, grow, and be the best they can be.
Rene’ has worked with children with developmental disabilities and their families for over 31 years. She is both a pediatric physical therapist and a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. Her experience includes working with individuals with disabilities from infants through adulthood across all settings, including home, community, schools, and clinics.
Rene’ was the founding director of the Oklahoma Autism Network at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center, leading the program for over 19 years. During that time she served on multiple state level committees, including the Governor's Blue Ribbon Panel for Developmental Disabilities and the Developmental Disabilities Services Advisory Committee. She and her team coordinated the Oklahoma Statewide Autism Conference for twelve years, where she had the opportunity to collaborate and learn from over 250 national and state professionals.
Rene’ was the co-principal investigator for Connected Kids, a legislatively mandated research project focused on collaborating with parents to use developmental and behavioral strategies to teach their young child with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Through this program they served over 80 families.
Rene’ has been married for 31 years. She and her husband have two young adult children. They enjoy traveling, camping, hiking, biking, and exploring the outdoors.
